Hello, I’m looking for information stating the efficacy and safety

for using alpha stim CES treatments for a 16 year old client who

wishes to discontinue use of of anti-depression medication. His

progress is good in reducing depression symptoms through

psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. We are mostly dealing

with psychopharm side effects now so the client’s parent is considering

alpha stim to augment psychotherapy instead of medication.

Thanks,

Scott

We do not know of any age limits, although we must continue to advise caution when used during pregnancy. There are no side effects from Alpha-Stim comparable to psychopharmacology. In this article, http://alpha-stim.com/repository/assets/pdf/Bioelectromagnetic_Medicine.pdf on page 9, Table 3, you can see that Alpha-Stim is being used by people ages 3 to 89 in that group. We often hear of babies using it and Mrs. Kirsch, this company’s president, used it throughout both her pregnancies. Alpha-Stim is also used extensively by the military and many of our Service Members are still teenagers or in their early 20s. We believe Alpha-Stim to be at least as effective as drugs, and again, the risk:reward ratio is far greater as proven by the safety profile established over 29 years of use.
