Celebrating 29 Years 1981-2010
Ed SandersBusiness Development ManagerEd Sanders has over two decades of business development experience and has been directly involved in the sales, marketing, and development of successful technology and consumer products. Ed has worked at EPII before and returns as Business Development Manager, applying his years of experience to drive revenue growth.
His relationship with EPII began in 2003 with him leading the requirements definition and vendor solution search that led to the selection and implementation of an ERP system. The system has streamlined the way EPII conducts business and now provides a solid foundation upon which additional business growth can be achieved.
Ed is a 1983 graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Business. He was recruited by Procter & Gamble's Management Systems Division and spent 9 years fulfilling various levels of IT responsibilities in P&G's Product Development, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Advertising business units. He spent his last 2 years at P&G applying technology to improve their Brand Management, Advertising, and Packaging processes. It was during these final years that he began working with executives and developers at Adobe Systems on future technologies for approving advertising and packaging.
1n 1992, he surprised everyone by resigning from P&G and starting an 8 year career at Adobe Systems developing, marketing, and selling what is now known as Adobe Acrobat. He spent the next few years travelling the country as a technical evangelist, previewing the technology and early versions of the product to major corporations and potential early adopters. Once the product began shipping, he held responsibilities as Systems Engineer, Territory Account Manager, Channel Manager, and Business Partner Development Manager over a six year period.
In 2000, Ed reluctantly accepted an invitation to visit a small startup company in Palo Alto, CA. He was impressed with what he saw and immediately joined VMware to start their field sales organization and open their first remote office in Dallas, TX. Over the next two years, he closed many of VMware's initial corporate deals and established channel and partner relationships that have contributed to the company's continued success.
For the past 5 years, Ed has been immersed in IBM System X Server and Storage solution sales. He has worked for IBM as a System X Channel Sales Specialist and for Ingram Micro as an IBM Channel Account Manager. He continues his involvement in this area through an affiliation with ENETsolutions of Houston, TX, a leading provider of EHR/EMR, Cloud Computing, Networking, and Managed Services solutions.
In his limited spare time, Ed is actively involved in family and church activities. Ed has also been a registered Girl Scout for many years, providing logistical and security support for North Texas Girl Scout events. |
