View More TestimonialsThree years ago, I experienced an accident where a horse fell on top of me and I on my camera which was around my waist. As a result, I spent several weeks in a hospital. I have had chronic pain ever since. My doctor’s diagnosis is lumbar plexopathy resulting from the 1500 pound horse on me and my camera. To help with the pain, I have tried every method I heard about including physical therapy, acupuncture, medications, and SEP blocks on my trigger points. Although I have less pain, there was still the lingering pain which got aggravated at times when I would sit too long (at a desk or in driving) and my muscles would start their spasms again and the trigger points would scream out in pain.
Last fall I read about the Alpha-Stim and called to order one. To my relief, my insurance company provided coverage, given my history of chronic pain. I find even more pain relief with it. I like the convenience of wearing it in your daily duties. In addition, I was able to use the ear electrodes to help me relax. I find tension aggravates my pain and causes more muscle spasms. So I have gotten double duty from my Alpha-Stim! Plus I find I do not get used to the effects of Alpha-Stim like a traditional TENS unit. It is not irritating to me.
I am happy with the results my Alpha-Stim has given me and I would recommend it to any chronic pain sufferer or to someone who needs help relaxing to deal with stress in their everyday life (which is about all of us!)
