View More TestimonialsI had been on antidepressants (anafranil) for 11 years for severe anxiety and depression. My anxiety is generalized and I would have at least 10 panic attacks a day as well as vomit uncontrollably because I was so nervous continuously (for no reason whatsoever). For about a year I was literally skin and bone, in and out of hospital, the rest of the time locked up in my room disabled shaking from head to toe having panic attack after panic attack and throwing myself up close to death. I attempted suicide twice after a psychiatrist said I’d be like that forever and never lead a normal life. (what encouragement!)
Since I live in a third world Country, proper treatment has not been made available. I was basically experimented on with all kinds of tranquilizers and antidepressants until one seemed to work a bit. I had no proper therapy. I was lumped with Anafranil and just assumed I’d be on it for life.
Everything was sooooooooo hard. I had to study, get my degree and hold down a job all while drugged up to my eyeballs and in a zombie state. The side effects were horrendous and I still had a fair amount of anxiety and depression. I had tried to wean myself off it numerous times but failed drastically every time with the anxiety and depression flaring up rapidly, only to go back on a high dose and start from scratch.
Then I came across an article on the internet not long ago (on CNN home page?) about the Alpha-Stim SCS. I couldn’t believe it so I researched it and found a lot of positive feedback. I ordered one straight away. No doctor here had even heard about it so I decided to go it alone and attempt to wean off the meds again.
I used it for 2 weeks before attempting to wean off. I have been on it for almost 3 months and have been drug free for just over a month. I have never felt better. I rarely have anxiety or depression and even when I do it’s so mild, all I have to do is use the machine and am fine again.
I have never felt this good and am ecstatic with the results. My anxiety and depression is pretty much gone, I came off the antidepressant with ease and very little discomfort and the only side effect I get from Alpha-Stim is mild headaches which beats the severe migraines and everything else I used to get hands down.
To me this is the best machine ever invented. I am so happy and relieved that my nightmare has finally ended. Thank you.
