A new study from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center’s Psychiatry Continuity Service has proven that a 20 minute session with the Alpha-Stim AID® brings clinically significant results. The subjects in the study were active duty military members who suffered from depression and sleep problems, as well as other trauma-related symptoms.
The fifty subjects received 20-minute sessions with Alpha-Stim; brain wave activity was recorded immediately before the treatment, immediately after the treatment, and 10 minutes after the conclusion of the treatment. The participants also reported their levels of distress both before and after the Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) session.
After treating with Alpha-Stim for 20 minutes, participants reported a significant decrease in their subjective levels of distress. Additionally, there was a significant increase in beta brain wave frequencies, with an even greater change manifesting 10 minutes after the end of the treatment, “suggesting an increase in mental alertness, focus, and concentration.”
The Alpha-Stim AID delivers CES through earlobe-attached electrodes to treat anxiety, insomnia, and depression. It is an FDA cleared, handheld medical device that has proven effective in study after study to bring relief to users in as little as 20 minutes. Alpha-Stim is not a drug; it bears no risk of addiction and no lasting side effects, and the results are cumulative – rather than needing an ever-higher dosage (as with drugs). Patients often find they can reduce the frequency of their Alpha-Stim treatments as their symptoms abate.
The Alpha-Stim AID, as well as the Alpha-Stim M (which treats anxiety, insomnia, and depression, along with chronic, acute, and post-traumatic pain) are available by prescription in the United States, and through more than half of the nation’s VAs. It is available over the counter in other countries.
This study from Walter Reed proves – yet again – what so many patients have already experienced firsthand: Alpha-Stim works, and it works well. To take the first step towards relief from your own depression, anxiety, insomnia, or pain, get started today.
