A new study from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center’s Psychiatry Continuity Service has proven that a 20 minute session with the Alpha-Stim AID® brings clinically significant results. The subjects in the study were active duty military members who suffered from depression and sleep problems, as well as other trauma-related symptoms.
The fifty subjects received 20-minute sessions with Alpha-Stim; brain wave activity was recorded immediately before the treatment, immediately after the treatment, and 10 minutes after the conclusion of the treatment. The participants also reported their levels of distress both before and after the Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) session.

Additionally, there was a significant increase in beta brain wave frequencies, with an even greater change manifesting 10 minutes after the end of the treatment, “suggesting an increase in mental alertness, focus, and concentration.”
